The Core team members of Coki Yukayeke and Higuayagua Taino of the Caribbean have had a longstanding relationship for over 7 years. In 2020 Coki Yukayeke was invited to become a part of the Higuayagua Cazicazo. We continue to support each other in our common goal to educate the descendants of our Taino ancestors.

Higuayagua is a tribal community, prided for expressing their indigeneity based on handed-down tangible oral traditions, through information gathered from research and interviews with elders/ community members across generations.
 

Higuayagua are a not-for-profit Cultural Organization dedicated to the research and rescue of all Taino cultural, linguistic and spiritual traditions that have continued in the Caribbean. Their mission is to preserve and disseminate information and cultural knowledge and to instill pride in Caribbean people of their Indigenous ancestry.
